When you love technology and travel is your passion, how is a techie gal able to bring these two together? By visiting some really cool destinations that are sometimes out of this world but with all the nice comforts of home. Take a look at the following four destinations where a techie lover can have fun and relaxation.
Orlando, Florida
In the 1960 the skies became the aim and a man landed on the moon. The excitement of space travel became a reality and so it is now a historical event. Its history can be enjoyed at Cape Kennedy in Orlando, Florida. Relive the enthusiasm of the moment and enjoy the techie past that has paved the way for the techie possibilities of today and the future. You want to buy tickets for one or locations where you can explore vehicle assembly, launch control tour, launch pad tour and have a quarter mile view of the over 350 high launch pad.
While in Orlando you can also take to the town for an array of entertainment, many of which is enhanced with techie special effects. This makes for some pretty exciting fun at Universal Studios. Stop by the Orlando’s Science Center and stay at some really nice four and five star hotels with all the techie conveniences.
Shenzhen, China
This is one of those destinations where you must bring plenty in your pocket book. Oh, the tech shopping extravaganza! You can shop till you drop at SEG Electronics Market with a variety of electronic vendors. This is an indoor market of vendors, typically distributors of brand new electronics. It may be good to be in shape for this techie venture because if shopping on the first floor wipes you out, you still have eight more to go! Make this trip minimum for one week to get the most fun and techie shopping out of it.
You will find the night life in Shenzhen is lit with LED billboards and over 8 million people will make it hard to believe that they once were farming and fishing community. In Shenzhen you can satisfy your techie desires and find areas where you can experience the Chinese people’s cultural values.
Oracle, Arizona
Out in the Arizona desert you will find the Grand Canyon with its splendid breathtaking view. Once you take in the beauty of the Grand Canyon you will want to head south to a small town Oracle to the University of Arizona where science is very much alive in Biosphere 2. Be amazed at how technology has helped to create perfect environments where you can see Earth’s living systems.
Stay at some nice Inns or Ranches a bit different than the previous destination booming with technology. Sometimes that is nice too helping to give you some time to reflect on yourself and your upcoming plans to travel. Oracle is a really nice place where you can appreciate how technology helps create some really neat places out in the middle of what may have been nowhere a few years ago. Now with technology all your friends and family can see the cool techie places you venture.
San Francisco, California
Now you are back to the high tech world in San Francisco. A techie venture would not be complete without a visit to Silicon Valley where you will find companies like Facebook, Google, eBay, Intel and others. Although, you will not much in the way of techie tours by these companies it is a techie must to say you have been there. You will find there are some places for you see such as the Autodesk Gallery which is a techie gal’s delight. Here you will find great designs facilitated by technology. But wait there is also the Tech Museum, a must for the techie at heart. You will love to stay at Hotel Zetta where technology is at your service.
